The student responsible on the day. Shoots are often run without a lecturer present, so this one always needs filling in.
These details flow into the H&S checklist and the final report, so you only type them once.

Who's doing what

Team & roles

Standard crew roles are listed to start - edit the names, change a role, or add your own. Roles you enter here also appear in the production schedule's crew dropdown.

Kit & equipment

Mark each item out when it leaves and back when it returns, so the wrap check is quick and nothing goes missing.

Attached scans
Attach small scans here - a photo of a signed permission embeds in the report fine. Large PDF files should be handed in separately; tick them off in the list above so it's clear they exist.
Quick guide

How to use this app

1 The basics

Start with Production details

Fill in the title, group, crew supervisor and the rest once - it flows into every section and the final report.

Work through the sections

Health & safety, planning, shot list, schedule, team, kit, scouting and documents. Fill in whatever your shoot needs - they all save as you go.

Export or email to hand in

When you're done, build the report, save it as a PDF, and hand it in or email it to your lecturer.

2 Signing off

Sign your health & safety

At the bottom of the H&S checklist, draw your signature and type your name to confirm you completed and checked it. This is a declaration that you did the work - it appears in the report.

Sign off the whole report

On the Export screen there's a final sign-off for the whole production. Draw it once and you can reuse your saved signature with a tap.

3 Saving & offline

Works offline

Once you've opened it with internet, the app keeps working with no signal - perfect for filming on location.

Your work is saved on this phone only

Nothing is sent anywhere automatically. If you clear your browser, switch phones or delete the app, the saved production goes with it - so export or email your report at the end of each session. That report is the thing that counts.

4 Handing in

Build report & Save as PDF

The report opens in a new tab with everything - details, checklists, shot list, schedule, photos and your signatures. Choose Save as PDF to keep one tidy file.

Email it in

Or use Email the report - it writes a draft with the summary and sign-off; attach the saved PDF to send the full version.

A quick note on signatures: typing and drawing your name here is a declaration that you checked the work - it records who signed and when. It isn't identity verification, so always do your own honest sign-off.

To hand in: tap Build report, then in the print window choose Save as PDF as the destination. Photos are embedded, so the single PDF is all you need to submit.

@ Email the report

This builds the report and opens your mail app with the production summary and sign-off already written in. Save the report as a PDF and attach it to send the full version with photos. The draft can be written offline and will send once you're back online.
